Evaluation

Record was a difficult module to understand as we kept swapping from teacher to teacher, however it was a great module as I learnt many skills abuout how cameras work and how to use one properly to take a good picture. It taught me how to deal with deadlines and how to work efficiently in a team. I didnt pick who I was working with which made it alot difficulter to adapt. It was a fun project to be apart of and I really enjoyed it, if i could do this again I would organise my team more wisely as I had trouble meeting deadlines individually and as apart of the group (team). On the whole I think this was a good experience and I really enjoyed being apart of it.

My individual ideas for the performance ...

For the performance I thought it would be a good idea to do something basic and easy to understand (simple) so the audience could easily understand our performance and when recorded it would be equally as easy to understand.

For this I thought that producing a mime performance would be perfect, it could be easily recorded using a camera (photographs) instead of the usual video recording. It would be interesting to see the facial expressions changing from shot to shot. I would want everyone to be in my performance, but only 2 or so people on stage at a time (per scene) to make it easier to understand as miming can be a difficult performance to portray and for the audience to understand.

I think that it would be a good idea to have a mime performance with the theme good and bad or good and evil, we as a group could have a group of good pure people, with lighting (perhaps white-purity) and costume and a group of bad evil people, maybe with red face paint and dark clothing, miming a story yet to be thought of.

This type of performance could really attract the audience however there may be a disadvantage, for the audience to really understand this performance they will have to really consentrate throughout the entire performance, suggesting that perhaps this may become to much pressure on the audience and some may switch off and we might not get the review we wish for it. We could however just do the performance without an audience, putting less pressure on the crew which could mean the quality of the performance may turn out better.
